Description
Soften repetitive drip and rain impact on suitable exposed metal surfaces.
The handmadeFelt outdoor AC coil mat places a flexible curled-loop buffer between falling water and bare metal. It is an open-coil material product, not wool felt, a full AC cover or a repair for mechanical air-conditioner noise.
Free standard shipping on every order to destinations supported at checkout. No minimum purchase. Prices are in USD; any taxes collected by the store are shown at checkout.
Product Features
- Open-coil cushioning: flexible loops receive direct water impact and may help soften sharp tapping sounds. Results depend on the installation and source of the noise; no complete-silence or decibel guarantee is made.
- Trim to fit: measure the safe impact area first and trim gradually, away from the equipment. Locate the built-in magnets before cutting and never cut through them.
- Outdoor water exposure: suitable for everyday outdoor water exposure. Water can pass through the open structure; the mat is not a watertight cover.
- Built-in magnets: for compatible ferromagnetic surfaces, not plastic, aluminium or every stainless steel. Suitable exterior-grade adhesive tape may be added where permitted and needed; tape is not included unless the offer states otherwise.
Sizes and Colors
Choose from 60 × 50 cm, 80 × 40 cm and 100 × 40 cm. Inch dimensions are approximate. Color families: Black / Black-Gray, Burgundy, Dark Brown, Beige and Light Taupe. Check the selected option and measure before ordering.
Installation and Safety
- Check the equipment manufacturer’s instructions and confirm the area is safely accessible. Do not climb or reach into unsafe locations; use a qualified professional when needed.
- Follow the manufacturer’s power-isolation and safety instructions before working near equipment. Clean and dry the intended surface.
- Test the placement, then trim away from the equipment if required. Keep magnets intact and small trimmed pieces away from children and pets.
- Fit the mat only over a suitable water-impact area. Never cover a top-discharge fan or obstruct airflow, drains, service panels, moving parts, electrical components or required clearances.
- Confirm the mat is secure. Inspect after strong wind or severe weather, and remove it if it cannot remain safely secured.
No certified fire-resistance rating is claimed. Keep the mat away from flames, cigarettes, hot ash, hot components and other ignition sources. Do not use it as fire protection or test it with a flame.
Before Cutting or Installing
