Custom Felt Rings

Circular felt parts defined by the assembly, dimensions and use conditions.

Felt rings are circular cut components used where an assembly needs a defined interface, spacing, cushioning, or protection.

Where this product fits

The shaft, housing, and contact conditions matter as much as the ring dimensions, especially when the part moves or is compressed.

  • circular interfaces in mechanical assemblies
  • protective or cushioning rings around a component
  • ring shapes for gasket or washer programs

What to send for a custom quotation

  • inside diameter, outside diameter, thickness, and concentricity priorities
  • shaft or mating-surface details and installation method
  • compression, movement, moisture, temperature, and any contact medium
  • material preference, quantity, drawing revision, and inspection points

Dimensions are made to your approved drawing or sample. Material, tolerances, quantity, packaging, and timing are confirmed during the project review.

Material, sample and production review

We review the ring geometry with the intended material and cutting route. Samples should be checked for fit, flatness, edge quality, and behavior in the actual assembly before production approval.

Selection notes

A felt ring does not automatically function as a fluid seal. If containment or oil contact is part of the brief, specify the medium and operating conditions so the suitability can be assessed separately.

Frequently asked question

Can felt rings be made to a custom inside and outside diameter?

Yes. Provide the target dimensions and assembly conditions; the final material and dimensional acceptance criteria are confirmed for your project.
