How to specify a circular felt ring

| Radial width | For concentric circular outlines, radial width = (OD − ID) ÷ 2. Mark any required centering or offset on the drawing. |
| Thickness | Identify whether the value is for the free part or the installed gap, and state the agreed measurement conditions. |

Material, sample and production review
We review the ring geometry with the intended material and cutting route. Samples should be checked for fit, flatness, edge quality, and behavior in the actual assembly before production approval.
Selection notes
A felt ring does not automatically function as a fluid seal. If containment or oil contact is part of the brief, specify the medium and operating conditions so the suitability can be assessed separately.
